Wow Wallpaper Hanging

We are wallpaper installers in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We recently installed a beautiful wallpaper from Netherlands based designer Ellie Cashman in an apartment in the woolstore precinct at Teneriffe in Brisbane.

Teneriffe was once an important wool trading suburb with the first wool store built in 1909 and another 12 wool stores added to that from 1915 to the 1950’s. These large buildings were built as a testament to our successful commercial wool industry and were designed at the time by well known architects.

Today these large brick constructed buildings have undergone a dramatic transformation from industrial run down eyesores into much sought after luxury riverside apartments. The Teneriffe woolstore apartments have breathed new life into this upmarket area attracting cafes, restaurants, shops and transport.

Warehouse living has become very popular with many people wanting to retain a very industrial look inside their apartments. The use of bricks, steel and concrete all go together to keep the urban industrial feel.

Our client decided to use a very dramatic yet soft large scale floral wallpaper that looked magnificent in the chosen bedroom.

This beautiful floral wallpaper is inspired by the still life paintings of the Dutch Golden Age. Majestic, ethereal blooms cascade sown a dark, shadowy background.

Close up, this ‘Dark Floral’ design looks like it has almost been oil painted but from a distance the effect is almost photographic. ‘Dark Floral’ is the original wallpaper design that launched Ellie’s label in 2013.

Ellie’s vision for this wallpaper was to see it as a stunning feature wall whether that be in a living area, dining room or bedroom as our client has used it.

This wallpaper would look amazing in a variety of uses such as warehouses, lofts, restaurants, businesses, in fact anywhere.
